Bearing leader SKF will establish a factory in Morocco to produce magnetic bearings

On May 22nd, Swedish bearing manufacturer SKF issued a statement stating that the company will invest 50 million kroner (approximately 4.9 million US dollars) to establish a magnetic bearing factory in Tangier, Morocco, to improve its technical and manufacturing capabilities in magnetic bearings.


The statement stated that magnetic bearings have been applied in turbomachinery and other high-speed applications, such as hydrogen liquefaction and oil-free industrial compressors. "The new factory will start operating in the second quarter, and after full operation, it will help the company meet the growing demand for magnetic bearings.
