Dai Zhijun felt very gratified by this, which is the best recognition for his long-term commitment to research on high-end bearings. In 2012, he returned to China to study and joined Eight Rings, and went through R&D, sales, procurement and workshop departments, and fully mastered the entire process of bearings from design and development to production and sales. At that time, Bahuan Bearing Co., Ltd. was at the crossroads of transformation, and the requirements of customers were increasing day by day, which put forward higher requirements for new product development, product quality and on-site management. The company's factory facilities and research and development capabilities have been unable to meet the needs of high-end customers. After assessing the situation, Dai Zhijun put forward "two small goals" for building the new Eighth Ring Road: one is to establish a new digital production base to improve production efficiency; the other is to focus on "specialization, special innovation" and realize high-end products.


In the past, deep groove ball bearings have always been the main product of Bahuan Bearing Company, and its market share ranks first in the field of automobiles and motorcycles. In order to achieve high-end products, Dai Zhijun led the research and development of a series of new products, including "high-load full complement double-row deep groove ball bearings" and "impact-resistant and low-noise deep groove ball bearings". Among them, "high-load full complement double-row deep groove ball bearings" are mainly used for aerospace body bearings, and its core technology has long been monopolized by industry leaders such as Japan's NSK and Sweden's SKF. This not only leads to high prices, but also controls the annual export volume.


Therefore, Dai Zhijun and the technical staff of the project team have overcome the problems of sealing structure, low starting friction torque and clearance design on the basis of bearing structure and parameter design research. After three years of hard work, similar products have been successfully developed, filling the domestic blank. After testing, the main performance indicators have reached the level of similar foreign products, realizing import substitution. Moreover, the prices of these products are only about 60% of the imported products. The project successfully passed the provincial appraisal and reached the domestic leading level. This move changed the passive situation of relying on imports, won the reputation of customers, enhanced the brand image of Bahuan, and fired the "first shot" for Bahuan Bearing Company to enter the aerospace field.


Under the leadership of Dai Zhijun, Bahuan Bearing Co., Ltd. has successively developed "high-speed deep groove ball bearings" (awarded the B-level project of the National Federation of Industry and Commerce Science and Technology Achievements), and "high-speed precision heavy-duty bearings" suitable for industrial robot reducers (awarded Zhejiang Province Science and technology progress second prize) and other products. The high-end bearing products of Bahuan Bearing Co., Ltd. have begun to emerge in the fields of aerospace, robotics, and new energy vehicles.


As a manufacturing enterprise, not only product research and development must be high-end, but also on-site management must keep up with the pace. Therefore, Bahuan Bearing Co., Ltd. launched the precision bearing intelligent factory project in 2018. The project covers an area of 86.36 mu and has a total investment of 303.2 million yuan. Dai Zhijun participated in project planning, infrastructure supervision, equipment selection, layout, installation and commissioning as the deputy chief commander of the project. After more than 600 days and nights of hard work, a modern plant with an annual output of 190 million sets of precision bearings was finally built, and it was officially relocated and put into production at the end of 2020.


As the group's information director, Dai Zhijun has repeatedly emphasized that the new factory must not be a simple copy of the old factory. Therefore, he led the new factory intelligent workshop construction project with a total investment of more than 48 million yuan. The project has built 18 fully automatic digital production lines and more than 450 sets of HMI numerical control equipment at the leading level in the domestic bearing industry. The numerical control rate of workshop equipment has reached 100%, and the networking rate has exceeded 90%, covering the entire technological process of bearing grinding and assembly. The use of database information to achieve technical iterative updates and process optimization has improved the overall manufacturing level of the company's precision bearings. This move has achieved an annual increase of 220 million yuan in output value and promoted the pace of construction of intelligent factories in the bearing industry.


At present, the project has been selected into the 2021 Provincial Intelligent Factory (Digital Workshop) list and the Zhejiang Future Factory Pilot List.
