The abnormal noise of the wheel hub bearing must be replaced, otherwise it may cause major problems

1. When the gap is too large, it can cause vibration, leading to the generation of abnormal noise. Chassis bolts play a crucial role in vehicle driving safety, so I have decided to comprehensively update the chassis wheel hub bolts. The blue and red marks applied on the new bolts are special thread glue used to ensure the stability of the bolts and avoid the occurrence of loosening.

2. If the wheel hub bearing is severely damaged, with cracks, pitting, or erosion, it must be replaced immediately. Before installing a new bearing, apply an appropriate amount of lubricating grease and follow the reverse steps for installation. The replaced bearing should rotate flexibly without any noise or vibration.

3. For the problem of brake noise, usually replacing the brake pads can solve it. If the brake disc is damaged, it needs to be replaced. When replacing, be sure to choose the matching model to avoid new abnormal noises caused by mismatch.

4. The problem of damage to the right rear bearing of a car cannot be ignored. Once abnormalities are found, they should be replaced in a timely manner. Otherwise, it may cause abnormal noise and even abnormal tire wear when driving on the right rear wheel. The importance of wheel hub bearings as key components for load-bearing and providing precise guidance for wheel hub rotation is self-evident.

5. The abnormal noise that may occur when the bearing is damaged includes strong metallic sound. This may be due to abnormal loads, improper coordination, clearance and preload calculation errors, and other reasons. In addition, factors such as poor assembly, insufficient accuracy of the shaft or bearing chamber, and insufficient or improper selection of lubricants may also cause abnormal noise.

6. If the front wheel bearing is damaged, although it is not particularly serious, it will produce a loud noise during driving, similar to a buzzing sound, which is significantly different from tire noise. To confirm if the bearings are damaged, you can stop the vehicle after driving for a period of time and lightly touch the suspected damaged wheel hub area with the back of your hand. If the bearing is damaged, this area will generate high heat and may feel hot to the touch.
